GOTUIT MEDIA JOINS ITAAS APPLICATION DEVELOPER PROGRAM
itaas’ istart program will help Gotuit Media provide digital cable TV subscribers with intelligent navigation of Video On-Demand content
Andover, MA and Atlanta, GA (May 5, 2003) – Gotuit Media, Corp., the leading provider of navigation technology and indexing services for on-demand content, today announced that it has joined the istart Application Developer Program offered by itaas, a premier provider of iTV services for the digital cable TV industry.
The istart program will assist Gotuit Media in its efforts to offer TV viewers enhanced capabilities for intelligently navigating time-shifted TV and on-demand video content. The comprehensive istart program from itaas is designed to provide an entry point for application developers who need set-top client development tools and support. The program will also help enable Gotuit to integrate its solution with the Scientific-Atlanta Explorer® digital set-top box platform.
Gotuit Media’s flagship offering, Gotuit On DemandT is a patented indexing solution that merges metadata with digitally recorded video content, allowing consumers to quickly access the parts of a show in which they are the most interested. Gotuit works with operators and content producers to enable viewers to interactively surf through stored video segments with existing remote controls.
